Kollam Backwater & Culture Tour

Day 1 – Kollam & Ashtamudi Lake

Upon arrival at Kollam, our representative will receive you and transfer you to the hotel. After check-in and refreshment, we begin our sightseeing tour with a visit to Ashtamudi Lake, the second largest lake in Kerala. You will enjoy a relaxing houseboat or shikara boat cruise through the calm backwaters while witnessing beautiful coconut lagoons and village life along the banks. Lunch will be served at a popular lakeside restaurant where you can taste traditional Kerala dishes. In the evening we visit Kollam Beach to enjoy the sunset and peaceful atmosphere. Later we returned to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Munroe Island Experience

After breakfast at the hotel, we drove to Munroe Island, a scenic backwater village located at the confluence of Ashtamudi Lake and Kallada River. Here you can enjoy a canoe ride through narrow canals, witness traditional coir making, fishing activities, and the authentic village lifestyle of Kerala. Lunch will be arranged at a well-known local restaurant on the island. After lunch we spend some time exploring the island and enjoying the peaceful surroundings before returning to Kollam in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 3 – Jatayu Earth’s Center

After breakfast we check out from the hotel and proceed to Jatayu Earth’s Center, a famous tourist attraction featuring the world’s largest bird sculpture. You can enjoy the cable car ride to the hilltop and explore the sculpture park, viewpoint, and adventure activities. Lunch will be arranged at the restaurant inside the park. After sightseeing we return to Kollam / Trivandrum for drop off at the railway station or airport.
